I recently stayed at Maison du Hibou, whilst exploring the area. I was made very welcome.
The breakfast was great, with fresh home baked bread each morning. Bryan and Catherine we’re friendly to me and informative about the area. I would recommend anyone to try Maison du Hibou.

I stayed for one night in maison du Hibou when I did a walking trip through France. The house was very nice and comfortable, nice bedroom. Very luxury breakfast, I appreciated the bread made by Bryan. Thanks a lot to to Cathy and Bryan for their hospitality. My stay in your guest house was the best on my 4 week walk through France.

A huge thank you to Brian and Cath for looking after us so kindly during our short stay. We arrived after a long drive with our three children and we were delighted to find such a fabulous welcome at Maison du HIbou. The house and garden were beautiful, every need we had was immediately catered for by our fantastic hosts (including fresh milk for a cuppa). The kids had a great time running round the garden and cycling round the village. The accommodation was 100% clean and comfortable and the breakfast was legendary! We cant wait to return to this wonderful retreat. We will definitely recommend it to friends and family. A real winner.

I stayed at this wonderful B & B, along with my sister, in May this year. Its a beautiful house with a huge fabulous garden. The hosts, Cath and Brian, were so friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay so comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were amazing.
I would highly recommend this accomodation and cannot wait to visit again

The local tourist information is very right to recommend this place. Traveling in April to the south we had a very relaxed stay with Bryan and Cathy. Nice accommodation and warm hospitality. One of those places to remember for another stay. Rik and Joke

I am a person who tends to stay at places that have plenty of reviews, took a risk i thought and stayed here for five days. What A Find!!. Home from home, Cath and Bryan were great hosts, new to the business, but it certainly did not show, lovely, comfortable accommodation, very friendly informative hosts, along with lovely breakfast as requested, cooked by Cath. It is a lovely quiet beautiful area, but near enough to enjoy the local attractions including historic sites. Try "The Velo- Rail". A train line where you sit on buggy bench like machine and "Peddle" together or in group along the track through Lovely Countryside, and you do not have to be fit. A Must!!. They also recommended a local Chinese Buffet, (Buffet Royal Wok) 19 euros each. Something there for everyone including all the beer and wine you would like to drink. I will definitely be back sooner rather than later.

What a great place to stay, whether for a night as I did on my way back to the UK from Estoril, or preferably next time a bit longer.
A lovely location with great surroundings, if your after peace and quiet to relax on your journey, this is the place.
Bryan and Cath have created a very homely house with lots of character and outbuildings to match.
We stayed in October so the weather was in change for winter but with the woodburner going and Caths amazing culinary skills, we couldn't of been in a nicer environment.
Hospitality, food and location, all a big thumbs up.
    Highly recommended.
    Thanks Cath and Bryan

What a lovely, recently refurbished B&B! We stayed just one night on our way from Barcelona to Calais. In a stunning location, with nice views and only a couple of miles from local little town.

The hosts Bryan and Cath couldn't of been more welcoming.... And i think I'm still full from the breakfast!!!

    Thank you very much...!

We stopped with Bryan and Cath in February on our way down to help friends with renovating their kitchen. When speaking to Bryan on the phone before arriving his directions were spot on and we found the property with ease.
Bryan is a great bloke with some fantastic biking stories and being a biker myself made it all the more entertaining. All the meals Cath cooked for us were fabulous.Vicky is a vegetarian and nothing was too much trouble for her.
The accommodation was great. We had a brilliant stay, told us of lots of lovely places to visit in the area. We will definitely come back and stay for longer.
The only negative was the fact we had to leave!

On s'y sent bien.

We stayed with Cath and Bryan for a couple of days in August on our way down to the South of France. We were made aware that they were still renovating but decided to "chance" it! We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The studio was very comfortable As was the house. We enjoyed some real home made meals in the bright kitchen. The house is beautiful and has a lovely "feel" to it!
The children loved the freedom of the grounds and enjoyed exploring the hamlet seeing the "free range" chickens wandering around!
They are close to Lake Vassiviere and we spent our free day there - children and adults alike had a wonderful time. Thank you Cath and Bryan. We will definitely return next year for a longer stay
